Koustubha Pancharatra Agama Samsthanam (KPAS) Temple, now known as Sri Mahalakshmi Temple, began with a divine vision. Sri Pradeep Archakam, a highly respected priest from a lineage of swayam acharyas, had a vision in 2012 in which Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi herself appeared in his dream, urging him to build a temple in her honor. This vision soon materialized when a devotee gifted him a Mahalakshmi idol, and shortly the temple was registered. Since 2014 the temple has been conducting religious programs at Sri Pradeep residence in Fremont, later in Pleasanton, and now in Sunnyvale. With growing devotion and support, it is now time to move into a dedicated space for the deities and the community.
Mission
A temple devoted to Absolute Surrender to Lord Sriman Narayana through Sri Mahalakshmi as a sure way to attain Salvation.
Activities
We carry out the temple mission through a multi-pronged approach: practicing faith through regular religious programs, strengthening the community through educational programs, cultural events, and serving the community through outreach efforts like annadhanam.
- Practicing faith through regular religious programs such as monthly thirumanjanam on thiruaardhra nakshatram for Sri Ramar and acharya Sri Ramanujar, kalyanotsavams, dolai utsavams, thivaaradhanam, etc.
- Strengthening and providing space for the Hindu community through educational classes, upanyasams, reciting 4000 divyaprabhandham, the vedas, & stotra padams with help of goshti swamins along with bhagavathas.
- Giving back to the community through outreach programs like annadhanam/Preeti bhojan/ Thadhiaaradhanai, and providing common space for Hindus to find their community.

This KPAS Sri Mahalakshmi Temple was established in 2014, and for all these years, we have been celebrating the Azhwar and Acharya Thirunakshatrams, along with other events, from homes as we did not have a proper gathering location. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the Bhagavathas who have volunteered and supported us from day one until today.
Bhagavathas have contributed by making malai's with love, organizing events such as flute, vocal, and Thiruppavai concerts, Upanyasams, Aulicheyal, reciting the Nalayira Divya Prabandham, Vedas, and Sampradaya Sthothrams, preparing prasadams with madi, helping with making of wooden peedams and making generous donations. Thank you to all.
For almost a decade, we have been striving to establish a proper temple where all Bhagavathas can come together to celebrate our Acharyas and Divya Dampathees. Now, we have found a location in Sunnyvale. To open and operate the temple continuously, we need the help of Bhagavathas through volunteering and generous donations.
This is the time for all Sri Vaishnava Bhagavathas to unite and support the inauguration of our first completely Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya-following temple on the West Coast. Please join us for the fundraiser event on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 at Peterson Middle School for Noorthada Utsavam & Andal Kalyanotsavam and receive the blessings of the Divya Dampathees.

On the 27th day of the sacred month of Margazhi, we celebrate the Koodarai Vellum Seer Govinda Utsavam, during which 108 silver vessels filled with sweet Pongal (akkara adisil) and butter are offered to the Lord. This celebration honors: The fulfillment of Andal’s promise to the Lord, later upheld by Acharya Ramanuja. The pasuram in which Andal expresses her desire for unification with the Divine. It is believed that participation in this Utsavam can bless those seeking marriage with a suitable match and those desiring children with progeny.

Offer a Pledge for the New Temple
Dear Devotees and Patrons,
As most of you know, the temple is currently being run in Sunnyvale in the residence of Sri Pradeep Archakam. Due to the pandemic and the commercial real estate situation did not allow us to move to a permanent location.
As god closes one door, he opens another. A new location has sprung up. It is under contract negotiation with the landowner and is near Reed and Lawrence in Sunnyvale. some time is needed for renovations inside the temple for Garbha gruha and also ship the moola vigraha from India. Funds are required to lease the place and operational expenses and Also to save towards a permanent place in the future.
We kindly request a pledge and a one-time donation to enable us to obtain the financial muscle to move forward with this process. We humbly request you to donate generously. This can be done either directly to the temple or via matching contributions through your employers to help the temple move to this location. We would like to raise ~$300,000 towards the annual operations and maintenance of the official temple space.
For leasing, we are looking at around 300k per annum which includes monthly rent, operational costs to run the temple. This is a great time for the donation as it will help with the tax benefits as the year is coming to an end.
